Wendy Presler

Wendy Presler, PE

Associate Vice President


Wendy Presler joined our geotechnical engineering group in March 2014 and has over two decades of Arctic experience in geotechnical and civil design on hundreds of projects. She manages our Fairbanks geotechnical engineering group and supervises the materials testing laboratory. She has managed hundreds of projects during her career, including many design-build fast-track projects for the federal government at military installations in Alaska. 

She has extensive experience in deep ground improvement, shallow and deep foundations, highway and airfield pavements, and utilities in permafrost and partial permafrost regions. She has performed geotechnical forensic studies, thermal modeling, and slope stability analysis. Wendy has authored two papers and completed a master’s thesis on the performance of wicking fabric to reduce frost boils in Alaskan pavements. She authored a paper titled Practical and Risk-Based Management of Potential PFAS Contamination for Your Project and presented it at the Geotechnical Frontiers conference in Louisville, Kentucky, in March 2025.
