Alia has experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), CAD, and natural resource field surveying. Alia creates, implements, and maintains data within ArcGIS geodatabases. She performs surface analysis with the use of lidar to aid geologists in identifying hazardous conditions. She develops databases used in GIS to visualize complex relationships between soil samples and their properties, such as environmental contaminants concentrations, testing type/results, and groundwater levels. Alia also completed PPI Group's Introductory AutoCAD training and is proficient in GIS and CAD data integration and development. Alia has developed a number of All Appropriate Inquiry Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, including real property transactions, corridor assessments, and railroad improvements.

Prior to joining Shannon & Wilson, Alia performed geographic analysis and natural resource studies for the City of Lake Oswego Parks and Recreation Department, developing canopy cover analysis via satellite imagery and characterizing native and non-native flora and fauna in natural areas.
