R. Travis Deane

R. Travis Deane, PE, GE

Travis is a geotechnical engineer practicing in the Western US with emphasis in California since 1992. He has design and construction experience on a diverse range of horizontal and vertical project types, including transit, highway, and freight and passenger rail corridors, and airport, commercial, educational, medical, military, industrial, and municipal facilities. Travis has provided emergency response and forensic consultation for various geologic hazards, including landslides, debris flows, expansive soil distress, ground settlement, and other natural distress. He has worked on projects under a variety of contracting methods, including design-bid-build, design-build, construction manager/general contractor, and public-private partnerships.

A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Travis started his career in Northern California before joining Shannon & Wilson’s Seattle office in 2003. He relocated to Southern California in 2008 to lead development of the new Los Angeles office.  He has recent project experience across California and the American Southwest.
