Nathan Adamczak joined the Engineering Staff Team at Shannon & Wilson’s Fairbanks office in 2019 after graduating from the University of Alaska Fairbanks with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Prior to completing his degree, he spent 13 years as a technician in Shannon & Wilson’s soils and concrete testing laboratory. As a Lab Technician, Nathan developed skills in field testing, construction field observation, laboratory testing, and validation testing to maintain our American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) accreditation. 

Within Nathan’s current role as a Geotechnical Project Manager, he coordinates and oversees fieldwork, develops laboratory test programs, compiles field data, and performs geotechnical engineering analysis. Nathan has extensive experience working in remote locations, some accessible only by all-terrain vehicle or helicopter. His field experience includes field classification of soils, logging geotechnical borings, installing geotechnical instrumentation, performing construction observation, and construction material field sampling.
