Materials Testing Laboratory Technician
Kenneth Becker is a Geoscientist with experience in geological, environmental, and construction materials testing work throughout Alaska. As a Materials Testing Laboratory Technician in the Fairbanks office, he performs soil, aggregate, asphalt, and concrete testing and contributes to quality‑driven laboratory operations that support geotechnical and environmental project needs.
His background spans mining exploration and earthquake monitoring, with experience in both field and laboratory settings. This includes geologic logging, soil and groundwater sampling, and seismic data analysis and interpretation. His seismic work involved reviewing waveforms, locating seismic events, and contributing to earthquake cataloging efforts. He also has experience operating specialized scientific and geotechnical testing equipment, supporting site characterization activities, instrumentation monitoring, and preparing clear, organized technical documentation for accurate project outcomes.
Kenneth earned his BS in Geoscience from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. His combined experience in data management, technical documentation, seismic interpretation, and laboratory procedures contributes to reliable results across a wide range of testing programs.
