Lab and Field Technician


Kyle Borland joined Shannon & Wilson’s Anchorage office in 2023 as a Lab and Field Technician. Kyle has gained technical experience with laboratory and on-site materials testing, quality assurance, and quality control projects throughout his time at Shannon & Wilson. He is proficient in performing construction observations on building and utility projects; leading soil and aggregate tests such as particle size analysis, liquid and plastic limits (Atterberg Limits), visual classification, moisture-density relationship (proctors), and specific gravity; and performing field compaction testing by nuclear methods, field testing fresh concrete, compressive strength testing of concrete, and asphalt testing.
