Shae McLafferty
Geology Staff
Shae joined the Shannon & Wilson team in July 2023 as a Geologist in the Jacksonville office. She is a recent graduate of Iowa State University with a master’s degree in Geology, where she focused primarily on research in structural geology, geomechanics, and two-phase rock deformation. Her field experience includes coordinating field courses and geological investigations, as well as performing lithological, structural, and hydrogeological analysis. She has experience in the lab preparing and measuring sediment samples, as well as working with hydraulic machinery and lasers. She has recently passed the Fundamentals of Geology Examination and is currently working towards a Professional Geologist license. Shae is excited to begin her professional career at Shannon & Wilson and looks forward to learning many different project and field procedures.
