Jordan Melby

Jordan Melby is a Senior Engineer at Shannon & Wilson's Portland office, specializing in geotechnical consulting for water/wastewater and public infrastructure projects. Since joining the firm in 2022, Jordan has utilized his decade of geotechnical engineering experience to serve the Pacific Northwest. His expertise spans leading and managing geotechnical subsurface investigations, assessing site geologic hazards, and developing engineering design parameters for various public infrastructure projects. Jordan’s diverse project portfolio includes small and large reservoirs, pipelines, pump stations, parks, bridges, and treatment plants. He is proficient in geotechnical designs, including shallow and deep foundations, trench excavation and stability, dewatering, settlement and slope stability mitigation, and designing retaining walls and pavements. As a geotechnical consultant, Jordan prioritizes client service, timely project delivery, and practical solutions.
