Callan Yu

Callan Yu is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer with nearly 20 years of experience providing geotechnical engineering services for complex infrastructure projects throughout Northern California. His experience spans transportation, bridge, levee, dam, utility, industrial, waterfront, and habitat restoration projects, including work in environmentally sensitive and geologically challenging settings.

Callan has extensive experience leading subsurface investigations, geotechnical analyses, and design development for projects involving challenging soil, groundwater, and seismic conditions. His expertise includes shallow and deep foundation systems, seismic hazard evaluations, settlement analyses, slope stability, retaining structures, earthwork engineering, and ground improvement.

Known for his practical approach and sound technical judgment, Callan collaborates closely with clients, agencies, and project teams to deliver efficient, constructible geotechnical solutions that support long-term performance, manage risk, and contribute to successful project delivery.
