Kailyn Olnes
Environmental Geology Staff
Kailyn Davis joined Shannon & Wilson’s Fairbanks office in the Summer of 2022. She holds two bachelor's degrees from the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF): one in Geology and the second in Music Education. She spent much of her undergraduate years and some time post-graduation working in the Geochronology Facility at UAF conducting research projects on tectonics.
Since joining the Fairbanks environmental group she has been involved with a variety of environmental projects involving soil and water contamination within the Fairbanks North Star Borough and rural communities in Alaska. Her field experience includes water sampling from private wells and monitoring wells for volatile organic compounds, sulfolane, and per- and polyfluoroalkyl (PFAS) substances.
