Grace Paananen

Geotechnical Staff


Grace Paananen joined Shannon & Wilson’s geotechnical staff team in 2020. Since then, Grace has worked on a variety of projects in field and office engineering roles involving geotechnical explorations and calculations, slope stability and seepage analyses using SLOPE/W and SEEP/W, plan and specification review, and engineering report preparation. Grace’s construction observation experience includes drilled shafts, micropiles, tiebacks, spiralnails, subgrade checks, and cross-hole sonic logging. Prior to working at Shannon & Wilson, Grace worked in geotechnical lab testing and research, including research on geosynthetic clay liners and landfill gas emissions.
