Grace Paananen

Geotechnical Staff


Grace Paananen is a Geotechnical Staff member in Shannon & Wilson’s Seattle office. She has supported a variety of projects in both field and office engineering roles, including roadway improvements, light rail, fish passage, and dam and reservoir work. Her experience includes geotechnical calculations, data and report preparation, plan and specification review, contractor submittal review, field explorations, and construction observation. She is also experienced with hollow-stem auger and mud-rotary drilling methods and has provided construction observation for drilled shafts, micropiles, tiebacks, spiralnails, subgrade evaluations, cross-hole sonic logging, and rock grouting. Before joining Shannon & Wilson, Grace worked in geotechnical laboratory testing and research.
