Zach Thon

Zach Thon joined Shannon & Wilson in 2020 and is a Geologist/Environmental Professional III. His responsibilities include conducting field research activities, data management and evaluation, database research, technical writing, and final preparation of reports for a variety of environmental and geotechnical projects throughout Alaska and Washington. His field activities have included visual site reconnaissance, environmental and geotechnical investigative drilling, differential leveling site surveys, database research, photoionization detection (PID) field screening and/or gas monitoring, groundwater/soil sampling, and groundwater monitoring well installation/development in accordance with the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) regulations and guidance documents.

Zach is currently providing support for several of Shannon & Wilson’s ongoing contracts, including the Municipality of Anchorage Landfill Water Quality Monitoring Program Term Contract, Environmental and Geotechnical Engineering Services Term Contract, and Department of Public Works Term Contract.
