Alec Rizzo
Senior Environmental Scientist
Alec Rizzo joined Shannon & Wilson in 2020, bringing 14 years of field experience in Alaska, including a decade in the environmental sector. He has extensive experience preparing proposals, work plans, and technical reports. His field experience includes conducting environmental site assessments, site characterizations, release investigations, and underground storage tank closure assessments. His project work has involved excavations, test pits, soil borings, groundwater monitoring well installation, and soil vapor point installation. Alec is proficient in soil, sediment, surface water, drinking water, and groundwater sampling, as well as logging soil borings. Before joining Shannon & Wilson, Alec worked as a core logger and geologist for several Alaskan mining, petroleum, and environmental firms, including nearly four years with Weston Solutions, Inc.
