Mark Ohlstrom

Mark Ohlstrom, PE

Vice President


Mark has more than 40 years of experience planning, designing, constructing, operating, and managing a wide variety of military facility projects and water resource projects including flood risk management projects. Mark possesses excellent technical, project, and programmatic management and leadership skills. From 2004 until 2013, Mark served as the Chief of the approximately 200-person Engineering Division for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Seattle District. In his role, Mark served as the Levee and Dam Safety Officer for the Seattle District. Mark is passionate about leadership and developing people.  In his role as Chief, Engineering Division, Mark also was the District’s Career Program Manager for Engineers & Scientists. From 1999 until 2013, Mark was the District lead and Corporate Champion for the Seattle District’s Leadership Development Program. From 2013 until 2020, Mark worked for HDR as a Water Resources Project Manager and Federal Program Lead for Washington.  Mark has been a member of SAME for over 40 years and is a Past Post President and currently is the Regional Vice President for the SAME Northwest Region.
