Justin Risley
Environmental Staff
Justin joined Shannon & Wilson in the summer of 2020 following graduation from the University of Alaska Fairbanks Civil Engineering program. His studies focused on environmental and structural engineering. He completed one year of lab and materials testing at our AASHTO accredited/USACE validated lab before transitioning into an engineering staff role in our environmental and geotechnical groups. As a lab technician, he gained valuable experience in soil and asphalt testing and soil compaction field testing on various sites in the Fairbanks area. As an engineer staff, he has observed base of excavation and pile driving, assisted with borehole sampling and classification, conducted monitoring well sampling, and analytical data review.
