Senior Geotechnical Engineer
With 39 years of previous geotechnical engineering experience for the Idaho Transportation Department, Tri Buu has gained a vast portfolio of service offerings, including preparing and reviewing foundation investigation reports; designing correction schemes for landslides, retaining walls, bridge and building foundations; planning and monitoring geotechnical instrumentation; conducting research studies relating to geotechnical engineering; and supervising soil and soil mechanics laboratories. Tri joined Shannon & Wilson’s Boise office as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in 2022. Since then, Tri has led the preparation and review of numerous foundation investigation reports for bridges, retaining walls, and landslides to support projects that serve a wide variety of federal, state, and municipal clients.
