Rachel Willis has been with Shannon & Wilson since 2019 after four years of post-undergraduate research work at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Since joining Shannon & Wilson, Rachel has been involved with various site characterization projects for soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion investigations across Alaska.

Rachel leads field activities for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) soil and groundwater sampling at various airports across the state and has recently began managing multiple projects at PFAS-contaminated sites in Cordova and North Pole. Rachel is a skilled hazardous building materials inspector and holds an Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) Inspector Certification for asbestos investigation.

Rachel is proficient in field techniques for site characterization activities, technical writing, public relations, and hazardous building materials surveys.
