Patrick Kinsella

Patrick has nearly 20 years’ experience providing geotechnical engineering with an emphasis on construction and project management for the Shannon & Wilson’s Saint Louis office.  As Project Manager, Patrick has performed a wide variety of geotechnical investigations and design, including planning and coordinating subsurface investigations; technical evaluations of soil and rock data; slope stability assessments; seismic studies; design and installation of geotechnical instrumentation systems; and analysis and design of tunnels, driven piles, drilled shafts, shallow foundation systems, and retaining wall and pavement structures. He has also managed and prepared geotechnical studies for numerous commercial and industrial facilities, tunnel, infrastructure, earthen dam, railroad, and transportation projects.

As Construction Manager, Patrick serves as the owner's representative for major infrastructure projects. He oversees a team of construction inspectors, facilitates communication between the contractor, owner, and design engineer. He also reviews and monitors the contractor’s schedule, and documents all project activities for the owner's record file. In addition, Patrick has also served as project manager for numerous construction observation and materials testing projects for commercial developments throughout the Saint Louis area.
