Jennifer Mead, PE

Senior Engineer

Jennifer Mead is a Senior Engineer at Shannon & Wilson, with 10+ years of experience in the geotechnical realm of design and analysis, including seepage, slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, liquefaction, and lateral spreading. Jennifer uses engineering analysis results to justify and provide key inputs for dam and levee project designs, including design slopes, filter and zoning details, underseepage mitigation design, stabilization berm details, borrow material evaluations, and construction considerations. She frequently collaborates with regulators, including Dam Safety, and specializes in working on multi-disciplinary project teams with various stakeholders; often communicating the key geotechnical engineering concepts to a wide audience. Through this experience, Jennifer has become proficient in developing coordinated solutions with other project team members (e.g., environmental, hydraulics) to create efficient solutions.
