Ashley Jaramillo

Senior Chemist

Ashley joined the Shannon & Wilson team in 2019 and has more than 12 years of diverse environmental project experience, including contaminated sites management and site characterization, stormwater pollution prevention for construction projects and industrial facilities, and field screening and sampling.  In her previous employ, she served as the Environmental Manager for the State of Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF) owned Fairbanks International Airport (FAI) responsible for overall environmental compliance for the Part 139 airport.  Ashley initiated the first PFAS sampling efforts at FAI and served on the PFAS team developing and overseeing implementation of drinking water well search and sampling efforts and initial PFAS site characterization events. Ashley’s combined experience allows her to understand environmental issues from the perspective of a responsible party and environmental consultant, the importance of balancing operational priorities and fiscal constraints, and the need for transparent environmental stewardship.

As a current Shannon & Wilson Senior Chemist, Ashley is experienced in laboratory data review and validation for quality assurance/quality control.  She has an inherent fascination for the chemistry of environmental contaminants and their fate and transport in the environment.  Currently, Ashley manages five DOT&PF owned airport PFAS sites across Alaska.
