Forrest Dobson

Geotechnical Staff


Forrest joined Shannon & Wilson in 2018. He provides geotechnical support on a wide variety of projects within Anchorage and other areas of Alaska. Forrest oversees geotechnical drilling observations for water/sewer improvements, road/pavement improvements, vertical construction, airport, and offshore facilities projects. He is familiar with standard soil drilling and sampling techniques for use in geotechnical design and has conducted these services in remote and urban locations.

Prior to joining Shannon & Wilson, Forrest worked as an engineering assistant at the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, performing site inspections, monitoring construction activities and drafting/verifying permitting documents. He has also served as an engineering associate at Red Dog Mine for a prior employer, as an underground surveyor for Hecla Greens Creek Mining Company, and engineering support for several other mining enterprises.
