Annette Kovacs
Senior Lab Technician
Annette Kovacs has worked in material testing since 2005 and joined Shannon & Wilson in 2014. Prior to working in this field, she spent 8 years in manufacturing as an engineer, technician, and operator. Annette is a Senior Lab Technician, proficient in performing standard tests in soil, aggregate, and hot-mix asphalt, adhering to the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM), American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), Alaska Department of Transportation (ADOT), and Public Facilities procedures. She has served in a supervisory role at Shannon & Wilson since 2016, and assists in maintaining the AASHTO accreditation for the Anchorage lab. Annette helps with direct workflow; provides training and supervision of new technicians; and ensures that the samples from private, municipal, state, and federal clients are processed according to applicable standards and procedures. Following testing, she reviews and prepares the data for final reporting.
