Laboratory Supervisor, Lead Laboratory Technician


Annette has worked in material testing since 2005 and joined Shannon & Wilson in 2014. Prior to working in this field, she spent eight years in manufacturing as an engineer, technician, and operator. Annette is a lab technician, proficient in performing standard tests in soil, aggregate, and hot-mix asphalt, adhering to the American Society for Testing Materials, American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, and Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities procedures. She has served in a supervisory role since 2016. Annette maintains the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials accreditation of labs. She helps direct workflow, trains and supervises new technicians, and ensures that tests are performed according to standards and procedures. Following testing, she performs quality control reviews of the data, and prepares the data for final reporting. Thousands of samples from projects for private, municipal, state, and federal clients are tested annually.

Annette is approved by the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities to administer the practicum portion of the Western Alliance for Quality Transportation Construction qualification program.
