Laboratory Supervisor & Field Technician


Annette has worked in material testing since 2005 and joined Shannon & Wilson in 2014. Prior to working in this field, she spent eight years in manufacturing as an engineer, technician, and operator. Annette is proficient in performing standard tests in soil, aggregate, hot-mix asphalt, and concrete, according to the American Society for Testing Materials, American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, and Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities procedures. 

Annette has four years of supervisory experience and obtains and maintains American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials accreditation of labs in which she has worked. She helps direct workflow, trains and supervises new technicians, and ensures that tests are performed according to standards and procedures. Following testing, she performs quality control reviews of the data, and prepares the data for final reporting. Thousands of samples from projects for private, municipal, state, and federal clients are tested annually. She is approved by the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities to administer the practicum portion of the Western Alliance for Quality Transportation Construction qualification program.
