2020 Stanley D. Wilson Lecture Postponed

In light of the King County Health Officer’s orders in response to the COVID-19 virus, Shannon & Wilson and the University of Washington Civil Engineering Department is postponing our annual Stanley D. Wilson Memorial Lecture scheduled for April 2.

We take this action with a heavy heart: the Wilson Lecture is an important part of our ongoing commitment to continue Stan Wilson’s legacy of fostering and maintaining the spirit of thoughtful and practical engineering solutions.

We apologize for the inconvenience. This decision was made with careful consideration of the health and safety of our local engineering community.

As local conditions change and develop (hopefully for the better), we hope to reschedule the lecture for a later date. We will update this page with any new developments.
Established in 1989, the Wilson Lecture has long served as an event to encourage technical excellence and collaboration in our field. While current events will affect this year’s presentation by Dr. Bengt H. Fellenius, we look forward to continuing to celebrate Stan Wilson’s legacy in the future.
