Lauren has more than five years of experience practicing geotechnical engineering. Both of her degrees are in geological engineering and she is very passionate about geologic hazards. She has performed geotechnical investigations for a variety of public works, flood control, environmental and industrial projects.
Lauren began her career in Denver, Colorado while simultaneously acquiring a master’s degree at Colorado School of Mines. She has worked on a variety of Colorado Department of Transportation projects pertaining to major highway corridor hazard studies. Lauren has experience with geologic hazards mapping, exploratory drilling, and construction observation of geologic hazards mitigation. She has performed slope stability modeling, seepage analysis, and modeling foundation pile scenarios. Additionally, she has provided field testing and observation for grading, shallow foundations, and pile and pier foundations
