Chris has 43 years of geotechnical engineering experience on a wide range of projects, including oil refineries, chemical plants, water delivery, flood control levees, bulkheads and waterfront developments, earth dams, and high-rise buildings. He has also managed several geotechnical projects requiring geologic trenching within fault rupture hazard zones. Chris co-authored a publication regarding footing load tests to improve dynamic foundation design. This work was credited with a large reduction in foundation costs for subsequent buildings at UC Berkeley.
Chris believes in responding quickly to client needs, especially during construction when delays are most costly. Chris received a letter of commendation for construction services on three concurrent Kaiser Permanente buildings in Napa, Livermore, and Antioch.
