Rachel Acosta, EIT

Geotechnical Staff

Rachel has been with Shannon & Wilson since 2017. During her first two years with our firm, she has gained various field and design experiences. She has observed geotechnical drilling and collected and logged soil and rock samples for a variety of projects around Oregon and Washington.

Rachel has helped coordinate complicated geotechnical drilling and geophysical field exploration programs in remote and urban areas and is familiar with the installation and data collection of geotechnical instrumentation. She has observed the construction of several geotechnical design aspects, including tieback and anchored soldier pile walls, driven piles, and drilled shafts. Recently, Rachel has performed bridge foundation and retaining wall design for Oregon transportation projects and has worked with our clients to understand and deliver the information required to support the design team for efficient project development.
