Doug Montini, EIT

Geotechnical Engineering Staff

Doug joined Shannon & Wilson in May 2017 and has quickly gained experience in a variety of geotechnical services including, installation of various geotechnical instrumentation and the collection, processing, and interpretation of data, slope stability monitoring and remediation methods, pavement assessment and design, ground improvement methods, geotechnical drilling, construction services, and quality control/assurance testing.  He has played a key role in the development and completion of geotechnical engineering design and analysis projects for clients such as Alyeska Pipeline Service Company (APSC), Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (ADOT&PF), and United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).  His time spent working with these clients has allowed him to develop a close rapport with many of the staff and contractors.

Prior to joining Shannon & Wilson, Doug worked for the Department of Defense as a safety officer after spending ten years in U.S. Army Aviation with two combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.
