Peppi Croft

Peppi Croft, PE

Since joining Shannon & Wilson in 2014, Peppi has been an essential part of numerous geological, frozen ground, and arctic engineering projects. Peppi’s work has focused on transportation infrastructure on continuous and discontinuous permafrost, including several Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities and Trans Alaska Pipeline System projects.  She has led numerous geotechnical field explorations to develop geotechnical design parameters in areas of frozen and thawed ground and has developed design recommendations using thermal and slope stability modeling software.

Peppi has extensive experience designing, installing, monitoring, automating, and decommissioning geotechnical instrumentation in cold regions.  Her field experience includes soil and rock core logging; slope stability, geologic, rock cell, and material site mapping; mapping and observation of geotechnical hazards and permafrost features related to arctic and subarctic environments; and construction observations.
