Matt is the Office Manager of Shannon & Wilson’s Anchorage, Alaska office. Through his 27 years of combined fieldwork and project management experience in Alaska, he has gained a thorough understanding of geological and environmental conditions throughout the state and has built effective working relationships with a wide range of private and public clients and agency regulators. This knowledge has been used to conduct technically proficient and cost-effective contaminated site management and to quickly move sites to closure.

Matt often serves as Contract Manager and Principal-in-Charge for large term contracts. His program management experience includes term agreements for both public and private clients, including the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, the Municipality of Anchorage, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Crowley Fuels LLC, and Holiday Alaska, Inc. Through these contracts, he has successfully completed and managed hundreds of task orders that encompass the gamut of environmental response, assessment, remediation, and permitting elements, and dealt with a variety of contaminants including petroleum hydrocarbons, solvents, perfluorocarbons (PFC), PCBs, and dioxins.
