Experience in the field makes the difference in a successful and cost effective design of transportation and utility projects underground. Our designs are based on extensive experience with tunnel projects in diverse soil and rock conditions. As a result, our predictions on ground behavior, groundwater inflow, liner loads, and support requirements are developed with standard empirical classifications and formulas as well as state-of-the-art finite element, discrete element, and other computerized analytical procedures. Our staff has designed and managed projects employing a wide range of tunneling techniques including drill and blast, roadheader, tunnel boring machine, earth pressure balance machine, slurry machine, microtunneling, pipejacking, and directional drilling methods.
