Shannon & Wilson opened its Tri-Cities (Richland, Kennewick, and Pasco), Washington branch office in 1992 to serve the eastern Washington and northeastern Oregon areas more efficiently. The Tri-Cities is a large trade center for a multi-county region in the midst of a thriving agricultural area. Major waterway, railroad, and highway transportation facilities are located here, and Richland is home to the federal government’s Hanford Site.
The Richland office staff has provided geotechnical engineering and environmental consulting services on over 1,500 projects for clients in the public and private sectors. Clients include corporations, municipalities, counties, port and irrigation districts, federal contractors, developers, and architect/engineer design firms. We specialize in geotechnical engineering design for roads, buildings, and bridges; construction phase geotechnical observation and consultation; geologic hazard evaluations and slope stabilization design; grading and stormwater pollution prevention plans; and environmental site assessments.
